With school out, it’s a good time to re-enforce summer reading for familiy members of all ages.
The Joint Base San Antonio library system is encouraging readers of all age with its “Read, Renew, Repeat” summer campaign.
“It’s too hot to do anything outside anyways, pick up a book and learn something or escape to someplace cool,” notes Army CWO4 Nick LaPlante in a recent email message to us.
LaPlante is forming a group of summer readers among the Fort Sam Warrant Officers Association.
The libraries are funded based on their use,” LaPlante noted in his email. “One way they show their use is through summer reading programs such as this one.”
For military families on a budget, a visit to the local library can help people read new things or watch movies without paying for them.
