Once you become comfortable in your new career and know you will be staying for a while, I challenge you to give back in the transition space. You did not get where you are without some help from someone who also overcame difficulties during their transition.. If someone asks for a company referral, give them a mock interview and make the referral if qualified. 

Continue Networking. In this phase, you should connect with like individuals who want to investigate your career field. You know what you went through and those stories need to be heard by the people coming after you. 

Consider becoming a mentor. If you used mentoring services like Veterati or American Corporate Partners, consider converting those mentee accounts into mentor accounts.   The Military Transition Roundtable also needs facilitators for the ongoing MasterMind programs.

Large numbers of service members are transitioning every year, and it takes all hands-on to support their transitions. As you move into your new careeer, I can’t wait to see you on the trail helping out!
