For those who love golf and to help develop leadership among Bexar County high school students, the American Legion’s 20 District will host a golf tourney Sept. 15 at 8 a.m. at the Fort Sam La Loma Golf Course.
Entry fee is $75, but hole sponsors are also needed. According to Jack Williams, the golf chairman, the money supports the transportation for the teens to travel by bus from San Antonio to Austin for next year’s Boy State.
“Last year, we had over 100 participants,” Williams said. “And, this year, we expect to reach to 150 or more.”
Hole sponsor opportunities begin at $100 per organization or donor.
