American Legion Auxiliary Texas Bluebonnet is accepting applications for the 2025 Girls State, June 15-21 at Texas Lutheran University.

“The purpose of American Legion Auxiliary Texas Bluebonnet Girls State is to educate young women in the duties, privileges, rights, and responsibilities of American citizenship,”  Lori Swann, the program’s director said.  “We teach that a well-informed, intelligent, participating citizenry serves to protect and preserve our American institutions and democracy..”

The program is open to young women who have completed their junior year of high school.  The program costs $475 per student.
