Mark Overberg, the retired director of the Army Retirement Services, has shared the latest  U.S. Army Retirement Planning Guide via his LinkedIn profile.

In that guide, the military has created a 36-month timeline that helps military professionals understand the optimal timeline.  Please click on the graphic below to also find the download for this guide.  While the focus is on the Army, the information is such that it will help all of those on active duty recognize the resources needed for a successful transition.
