Thanks to others on our LinkedIn list of connections, we learned that the Defense Health Agency is shutting down the Tricare patient portal April 1.
“Heads up to all current service members, retirees, and veterans – download your medical records from Tricare Online before April 1st or risk losing access to them,” posted Ken Segelhorst.
“The Defense Health Agency is shutting down the Tricare patient portal as part of the transition to MHS Genesis, and your records won’t automatically transfer. If you don’t save them now, you’ll have to request physical copies in person after the deadline – adding unnecessary delays and headaches,” Segelhorst added.
Segelhorst added “Having collected my own medical records recently, I can say with certainty that DHA won’t do this for you. If you think your files are safe, think again. These records are critical for your VA claims and continuity of care down the road.”
