Don’t be afraid to amplify your voice

Does your voice  properly resonate, especially when you get that chance to make that 30-second elevator speech?

I took part in a recent Vets2Industry program where one military professional in transition spoke in a monotone voice.  That made me think of how he needed some coaching.

I suggested that he consider Toastmasters as a training resource to help him.

When I left the military, I joined not one but two groups.  The first club met at Lackland AFB, Texas.  The second met for breakfast in north San Antonio.

Other Toastmasters in those two groups helped me improve my speaking and vocal quality.

After making that suggestion, I listened to one of my podcast interviews.  My voice was pleasant and monotone.  When it came time to emphasize a key point, I missed my chance.

That made me want to find a Toastmasters group near me.
