VA provides guidance on employment disability program

Leave it to retired Command Sergeant Major E.G. Mais to help clarify the individual unemployability program for veterans with work issues.

According to the VA.gov website: “If you can’t work because of a disability related to your service in the military, you may qualify for Individual Unemployability. This means you may be able to get disability compensation or benefits at the same level as a Veteran who has a 100% disability rating. Keep reading to find out if you may be eligible..”

To determine if a veteran has eligibility, Mais recommends veterans or their families visit this website.

Accredited service officers such as Mais can help a veteran with the  VA Form 21-8940, the form needed to begin a claim for this program.
