Embracing one’s introvert cpabilities — a veteran’s guide to embracing these strengths

Quiet people have the loudest minds. (S. Hawking)

When Darren Tidwell, a Military Transition Roundtable alum, shared this Dr. Christian Poensgen LinkedIn post on introverts, it was something we wanted to share and archive here.

4 ways to help introverts thrive at work:

1/ Create private spaces ️
↳ Provide calm zones beyond noisy open offices.
↳ Use headphones as a “focus mode” signal.

2/ Offer less crowded work times
↳ Trust them to deliver outside the spotlight.
↳ Enable deep work free from constant chatter.

3/ Support working from home
↳ Make it a real option, not a hidden exception.
↳ Encourage clear boundaries for after-hours rest.

4/ Respect solitude
↳ Let breaks be truly solo, without social pressure.
↳ Remember: quiet doesn’t equal disengaged.

Don’t confuse quiet with disengaged.

Introverts bring depth more than volume.

All they need is the right space to shine.
