How one veteran capitalized on various veteran organizations to aid their transition
I’ve noticed that the veteran support ecosystem on LinkedIn can sometimes be overwhelming, trying to find an organization from the hundreds (if not thousands) out there.
I put together this chart (see image below) analyzing how each of these organizations helped me after the military.
Service to School and Student Veterans of America helped me get into Cornell, NYU, and USC, and helped me understand my GI Bill education benefits.
HireMilitary, RecruitMilitary, 50strong, and MBA Veterans continuously help open doors into finding a career after the military with their job boards and employment career networking events.
Enlisted Exfil, VOWS, and Hire Heroes USA helped me with one-on-one mentorship.
VETS2INDUSTRY and Elite Meet are also great resources. Sitreps 2 Steercos has mastered both building a community and providing high-paying employment opportunities.
Through FourBlock, I was able to land roles at Meta and UBS. I think they do it all, and can never speak highly enough of them.
Again, this is arbitrary data. There are a lot more organizations out there that others have had good experiences with, but I hope this helps!
