Do military families and veterans pursuing education know about the free application costs for their admission to Texas public schools from Oct. 13 to 19?

According to other press reports, Senate Bill 2231 established Free College Application Week.  This bill should increase the number of applicants for public schools.

The law establishes the second week of October as an opportunity for Texas students to get applications at no cost to them.  Depending on app fees, the cost for students can range from $25 to $90.

Interested students should call their preferred college choices to ask them about their eligibility for this cost-saving benefit.
