Volunteers are needed to unfurl the flag at the upcoming Alamo Bowl on December 30th. In addition, volunteers are also required for the Veterans Village at the 4th Annual Alamo Bowl Veterans & First Responders Tailgate.
Unfurling of the Flag
Volunteers will assist in:
- The unfurling of the flag on the field
- Flag detail during the pre-game ceremony
Volunteers chosen for flag detail will receive:
- A free event shirt
- Up to four (4) complimentary tickets to the Valero Alamo Bowl
- Access to the Veterans & First Responders Club on the 3rd floor during the game
Veterans Village
Event space has expanded this year, allowing AACOG to invite more providers. However, space is still limited. To ensure a balanced and effective experience for veterans AACOG’s Military Veteran Affairs program will select programs based on the following criteria:
The organization’s availability
- The organization’s ability to support veterans effectively
- Maintaining a diverse and high-impact resource lineup
Those selected will receive a confirmation email with placement details.

- Swag items
- Access to resources and community partners
