Hero Hut offers scholarship opportunity

Hero Hut has created the “Force for Good” scholarship. This $5,000 award will be given to a veteran transitioning out of the military to pursue higher education, trade school, or professional certification.

The scholarship is named in honor of Army veteran Taylor Force. After five years of deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, Taylor wanted to pursue an MBA, seeing education as a means to ease into civilian life. Unfortunately, he was denied funding through the GI Bill. He was eventually able to attend Vanderbilt University after dealing with endless red tape.

Tragically, Taylor died in 2016 during a school-sponsored trip to study overseas startups. While Taylor never completed his degree, the Force For Good scholarship can help other veterans achieve their dreams while also honoring Taylor’s memory.

Those interested in the scholarship are encouraged to apply before December 10.
