DESCRIPTION:If ever there was a tremendous advocate for military families facing transition\, Anna Larson would make the top of our list. \nThat’s why we at MilTRAC are adding this to our calendar page.   Here is the program synopsis event with Bruce Thompson\, another transition superstar.  We hope you will attend this presentation or get a copy of it to listen while you’re shuttling kids or talking a long walk in your neighborhood. \n“Many service members join as young adults and spend their lives on active duty status. They know little past what military life offers. Similarly\, the military spouse often spends just as much time in active duty military life with little connection to the civilian world.  \nWhen transition and retirement come there are expectations of what life should look like from both the servicemember and the military spouse. But how often are those expectations realized? \nTransition expert\, Bruce Thompson\, MBA\, asks servicemembers to figure out the answer to two questions\, “Who are you outside the uniform\,” and “What do you want to do post-service?”  \nThe same questions should be posed to the military spouse. “Who are you outside of active duty military life\,” and “What do you want to do now that it’s ending?”  \nJoin us for a conversation about navigating these questions and understanding how you and your servicemember can support each other as you discover who you are after active duty military life.” \nShare this:Post
