Your LinkedIn profile is either opening doors or leaving you invisible. That's the reality check I'm dropping on your newsfeed today. After reviewing hundreds of veteran profiles this year, I've noticed a pattern... Most military professionals either avoid LinkedIn entirely or have profiles collecting digital dust. Neither approach works in today's job market. Here's what I'm seeing: 🔸 Exceptional leaders with empty "About" sections 🔸 Combat veterans with 12 connections 🔸 Military spouses with profiles frozen since 2019 🔸 Service members preparing for transition with no digital presence The result? Invisible to recruiters, disconnected from opportunities. But here's the good news... I'm hosting a FREE virtual workshop that will help transform your LinkedIn presence in 90 minutes. What we'll tackle live: 🔸 Every section explained, optimized, and translated from military to civilian language in real-time 🔸 The tools you're not using that change everything (Featured section, Groups, etc) 🔸 Watch actual transformations happen, volunteer your own profile, or learn from others 🔸 How to find decision-makers, craft connection requests that work, and build relationships systematically 🔸 Your specific questions answered as they come up, not saved for the end Who needs this most... 🔸 Veterans with empty or outdated profiles 🔸 Military spouses building portable careers 🔸 Active duty preparing for transition The session is virtual via MS Teams, completely free, and yes, I'll record it. Can't make it live? Register anyway. I'll send the recording to everyone registered so you can watch on your timeline. November 19, 2025 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM CST Two ways to register: 1. DM me directly for the link 2. Scan the QR code in the image Your LinkedIn profile is your 24/7 career advocate. It's either working for you or against you. Let's make sure it's opening doors, not leaving you invisible. After this workshop, you'll have: 🔸 A profile that actually generates inbound opportunities 🔸 The confidence to reach out and build connections 🔸 A system for maintaining and growing your network 🔸 Tools and tactics that work specifically for military professionals Stop letting your military experience get lost in translation. Stop wondering why recruiters aren't reaching out. Stop feeling overwhelmed by LinkedIn's complexity. In 90 minutes, we'll fix your profile together, live, with immediate feedback. Who's ready to go from invisible to influential? Comment "I'M IN" below or DM me for the registration link.
Many transitioning service members and veterans slip through the cracks because the right resources aren’t always accessible, or the importance of preparing early isn’t fully realized. The civilian landscape can be tough to navigate, and initiatives like this make a real difference. What you’re planning will be a tremendous support to the military community. Thank you for always stepping up to help,Jacoband team!
Edem, it’s unfortunate and a huge initiative I plan on working on the next year or so to help get to more transitioning service members sooner. A major issue I’m seeing is individual units not allowing warriors to begin transtion classes or devote time to the change early enough.
LinkedIn is a powerful tool if used properly. But as you said, most are either too afraid to use it or created a profile and then never updated it again. Glad that you are teaching this workshop.

I've been coaching people for almost 10 years that "LinkedIn is your virtual love-me book", but I haven't followed my own coaching... lol! I'll be signing up!

This is great you're offering to teach this workshop Jacob. LinkedIn can be and amazing tool to assist us when transitioning out of the military but it can also hurt us if we neglect it. When a profile is created and not updated and left incomplete, prospective employers may get the wrong idea about the initiative of the veteran. Thank you for taking the time to teach the workshop!
Tony Peraza, MBAabsolutely brother! I do this class all the time here at Fort Campbell for warriors. I don’t care to do it virtually all that much but I’ve had a lot of requests so figured I’d give the people what they want.
